Plaza Family Care, P.C. Achieves MGMA ‘Better Performer’ Status

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Feb. 18, 2008) – The Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) Performance and Practices of Successful Medical Groups: 2007 Report Based on 2006 Data has identified Plaza Family Care, P.C. as a “Better Performer” because of superior operational performance compared with similar medical group practices nationwide. MGMA officials noted that “for three consecutive years Plaza Family Care, P.C. has been recognized by the MGMA for their ongoing commitment to patient quality service and the efficient and effective medical group operations. This recognition has been attributed to the hard work, commitment and dedication from the physicians and staff.” Plaza Family Care, P.C. is an eight physician medical group with offices located at 657 Willow Grove Street (located in the West Wing of Hackettstown Regional Medical Center) and at 245 Main Street, Chester. The MGMA report, a benchmarking standard among medical groups for nearly a decade, was produced using data from respondents to the MGMA Cost Survey: 2007 Reports Based on 2006 Data as well as data from a questionnaire that assessed management behaviors, practices and procedures of better performers. The report profiles medical practices that have demonstrated success in one or more areas: profitability and cost management; productivity, capacity and staffing; accounts receivable and collections; patient satisfaction; and managed care operations.
