Internal Medicine
Jim Chang, M.D.
Was raised in New Jersey, did his Internship and Residency at New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital, and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Chang did a fellowship in Gastroenterology at St. Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Johns Hopkins University and attended Northwestern University Medical School.

Lillian Theune, D.O.
Graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1993. She completed her Internal Medicine residency training at The Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in 1997.
She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology which she received from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania in 1989.
She was previously employed by Sparta Medical Associates in Blairstown, N.J

Sandra Carlson, M.D.
Dr. Carlson is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She is originally from Brazil where she attended medical school and completed a Cardiology fellowship. Dr. Carlson completed an internal medicine residency and graduated with honors from Saint Barnabas Hospital in Livingston, NJ. More recently, she worked at Saint Claire's Hospital. Dr. Carlson also speaks Portuguese and Spanish.

Allen Menkin, M.D.
Is a founding partner of Plaza Family Care. He has a Bachelor's degree from Drew University and a Master's degree from Rutgers. He graduated from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine. Dr. Menkin did his Internship and Residency at Bellevue Hospital-New York University Medical Center, where he also served as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics. In addition, Dr. Menkin has specialized training in neurological and behavioral disorders. Dr. Menkin is a decorated veteran. He has directed the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Managed Care Program for this area and is a member of numerous medical advisory committees. He is a trained emergency medical volunteer with a background in antiterrorism. Dr. Menkin has also been a medical missionary in Ethiopia.

Patrick A. Caruso, M.D.
Is a Clinical Associate Professsor at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He is on the Pediatric Advisory Committee at Morristown Memorial Hospital.Dr. Caruso is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and Case Western Medical School. During his post-graduate training at the University of Connecticut, he was honored as the outstanding Resident for Teaching and Role Model. Doctor Caruso lives in Flanders and is an avid, low handicap golfer.

Adam Dick, M.D.
Is a graduate of New York Medical College. Before coming to Plaza Family Care, Dr. Dick was a clinical instructor at New York University Medical Center. He served as Chief Resident in Pediatrics at Bellevue Hospital-New York University Medical Center. He has trained at New York Hospital (Cornell University), Memorial Hospital-Sloan Kettering, and the Schneider's Children Hospital. Dr. Dick lives in Long Valley with his three children.
Kristen Walsh, M.D.
Graduated from Harvard University, cum laude with a degree in Psychology. She attended the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine and received her M.D. degree in May, 2000. She completed a Pediatric Residency at Morristown Memorial Hospital and the Atlantic Health System. She has been in private practice as a General Pediatrician in Chatham, N.J. She is married to Brian Walsh, M.D., an emergency physician at Morristown Memorial Hospital.

Melissa M. Libert, D.O.
Graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2004. She completed her Pediatric residency training at Schneider Children’s Hospital of North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System in 2007. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry which she received from State University of New York Binghamton in 2000.

Jenna Stephens, RD
Jenna graduated Cum Laude from Utah State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science. While in school she was a research associate working on a clinical trial exploring the link between phytosterols and serum cholesterol levels. After graduating, she started her dietetic internship through Utah State University. Her clinical work was completed at Jersey City Medical Center, where she spent most of her time in the ICU. She is currently working on her Masters in Dietetics through USU. Jenna is a member of the American Dietetic Association and Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group. In her free time she likes to work on new healthy recipes, work out, and spend time outdoors.
