Adult Wellness Program
The objective of our health care program is to decrease your risk of disease and maintain good health so that you can enjoy all the activities of everyday life.
Certain habits (smoking, alcohol abuse, high fat diets, occupational exposures) can increase your risk for certain diseases. Regular care and follow-up by our physicians, along with lifestyle modifications, will reduce the risk of getting certain diseases. Continuing care by our physicians will allow you to maintain your body at its peak performance. Screening tests are an important part of our care. However, not everyone should be screened for all possible diseases. We try to focus our screening tests on people who are at known risk. Remember, the earlier a problem can be identified, the more likely we are to control or cure it.
Most of our recommendations are supported by the American College of Physicians and the American Cancer Society.
Wellness Exams
Healthy adults with no medical problems should see one of our doctors every 1-3 years for a wellness exam and health profile. This allows an opportunity for our physicians to follow your health with you, discuss any concerns, and ensure that you remain in good health. Potentially debilitating diseases such as high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, asthma, diabetes, and cancer can be detected an a routine wellness and health profile, sometimes well before symptoms develop. We offer particular expertise in preventing and treating ailments of the stomach, liver, and intestines.
Adults with medical problems, or those over age 50, should have an annual wellness exam and repeat visits as needed. In our program, doctor and patient work together to maintain wellness and it is this partnership that guarantees your top notch medical care. Your good health is an indispensible property and should be maintained at a level satisfactory to you.
